NMI error in DL380p server

Hi ,

Today we got an NMI error in one of our server and as a result the server goes rebooted . So i wanted to know that what cause this NMI error . is it any kind of hardware failure ? 

What is the resolution for this NMI error ?

 ProLiant DL380p Gen8

Thanks for replying . 

i wanted to let you know that i didnot find any details in ILM log apart from the message below .

 Critical ASR 12/21/2016 03:24 12/21/2016 03:24 1 ASR Detected by System ROM  Critical System Error 12/21/2016 03:22 12/21/2016 03:22 1 An Unrecoverable System Error (NMI) has occurred (System error code 0x0000002B, 0x00000000)

Are there other log entries around? What OS is running?

Hi , 

We are running oracle linux 5.8 . We have checked the os log too but nothing found in os logs . 

What are the possible reasons for NMI error .

a non maskable interrupt can be compared to a blue screen in old windows versions. reasons can be bad hardware or bad drivers or something else. maybe you can find a dump?
