NMI received for unknown reason b1 on CPU 0

I am using Debian Linux kernel 2.6.20.1 on a HP proliant DL380 G4 series server. I am receiving the following error.
'NMI received for unknown reason b1 on CPU 0.
You have some hardware problem, likely on the PCI bus.'

How can i fix this problem. Any suggestion is welcome.

Awaiting a quick response

It's telling you it's a hardware problem related to the PCI bus. Check cards that might be installed, potentially reseating or moving to another slot. You can use Insight Diagnostics from the SmartStart CD to run comprehensive hardware diags.

Hi David,
Thanks for your reply. I am sorry to say that i am not familiar with Linux. Also i dont see a GUI interface on that server. How shall i run this HP resource CD on that system, is there any commands available for that. Also please say me how shall i view the logs.

Thanks for your help

The SmartStart CD is a bootable CD so just follow the menus. For more information, consult http://www.hp.com/servers/manage --> SmartStart --> Support & Documents
