NO amber lights on predictive failure disk

 Hi all,

I obsereved predective failure on disk but our site team was unable to to see any amber lights
Note:there are almost 50disks in the server and half of them are in offline and yet to be initialized and disk which is gonna fail soon is configured with RAID-0 and not sure whether it's in offline or not

Re: NO amber lights on predictive failure disk

please let me know you mean hardware details looking for server hardware configuration or disk information ,All the disks are configured with RAID-0 mostly and some are online and some are not even intailazed and i am not even sure whether the predective disk failure is even intilaized or not is there any way to find that ?

Re: NO amber lights on predictive failure disk

I had this many times. I'm testing disks that come back from customers and most of them have predictive errors. Some have the yellow LED illuminated and some not. Those can only be identified through the Array Config Utility (mark and blue LED).

I assume this is a question of the firmware level of the drive.
