Need a Low Level Format Utility

What utility can I use to do a low level format on a 5i controller with HP SCSI drives

Why do you need to do a Low Level format?


You should be able to just delete the array which will kill the data, or should.


The only thing I can think of would be the CLI utility for Smart Array Controllers. Not sure if you need a DOS based utility or a windows based utility though... look here for the windows based CLI utility... http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/23026.html

You can do such a thing in the BIOS of the controller. Look under Physical Devices. But again, why? If the drive requires such a thing it is bad.
