Need an HP USB Floppy drive to load drivers?

I just got off the phone wiht HP and after attempting many driver versions through a SanDisk USB floppy drive without any success.

They have told me that I must buy a HP USB Mfr#DC361B HEWLETT-PACKARD HP - Disk drive - floppy disk ( 1.44 MB ) - USB - external

To make this work.

Can anyone confirm this to be true?

Hi,
If you want to load drive - I suppose - during windows installation, using a floppy drive, the HP's answer is correct.
also, you can use a CD containing the driver you need.
you can connect to
www.nliteos.com
download the installer.
create, following the instructions, a bootable cd containig all the drivers you need.

usually, HP also suggest this solution.

bye.

excuse me.
I haven't seen you other post.
Marek gave to you the right answer about the installation.
the only answer to this post is: for USB floppy, during installation, HP tells you the truth... :-)
bye.

Re: Need an HP USB Floppy drive to load drivers?

I have tried many IOS burns with www.nliteos.com what a great program!

Unfortunately I havent been successfull. I even put the drivers in the root and have tried many drivers from the web site as well.

This is why I am so frustrated. The server is a ML150 G3 with a SATA RAID. I even tried older versions.

HP says there isnt much on this server as they say its new.

I have ordered another server as backup and the HP USB drive. But I woul really like to get this server up and running.

Just a FYI we also purchase a DL320 G5 and it worked great.

Any help would be much apreciated.

Thanks.
