Need help!!! DL585 with RAID Smart array 6400

We removed from the configured RAID5 on the smart array controller all hard drives. After that, new drives were plugged in and new RAID5 was created. There is a need to bring back the old hard disk drives and read information from them. Question: Will the controller read the old configuration RAID?

hi,

 

Yes, the controller should be able to read the old configuration , but you need to clear the cache of the controller first. Just boot the server w/o hard drives and the cache should be cleared.

It is important to switch of the server while installing *all* of the "old" drives.
