Need help for deactivating an Integrated iLo Adv. Pack!!

Hi,
a green man has activated an already used ilo Adv. Pack licence on a server with no licence. How can I delete or deactivate this wrong licence?

I would be grateful for any answer.

thx

Martin

Remove your disks and do a system erase.
I guess that should do the job.

Re: Need help for deactivating an Integrated iLo Adv. Pack!!

Martin,
I would do an F8 during POST on that server and set the iLO back to factory defaults. That will get rid of the license.
I'm going to test it on one of my 380G3s right now and if I find something different, I will post another reply.

Re: Need help for deactivating an Integrated iLo Adv. Pack!!

That worked...
Just keep in mind it will also wipe out any user accounts (except Administrator), reset the Administrator password back to the original password on the tag and default back to DHCP.
Good luck,

Re: Need help for deactivating an Integrated iLo Adv. Pack!!

Martin,

Not sure what Leon was trying to get at, why you would you format the disk for erasing ILO info? As far as I know ILOs are independent devices with config info contained on the cards, a much easier way would be just to reset the card or set it to factory defaults as a previous post suggested.

This would solve your problem, be aware all your network configuration for the ILO and users settings would be wiped out.

Hope it helps and dont forget to assign points:)

They are right, resetting the Ilo is an even better option to do.

Hello all,

thanks for the answers. A reset of the iLo is the right way I think.
