When my HP DL360 G4 boots it displays a message telling me to update the firmware for the Smart Array 6i. It shows v. 2.84 currently and displays model number BD0366459B
I have Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard Installed.
Can someone please describe precisely how to upgrade this firmware. I tried the firmware maintenance CD+USB utility, but it does not seem to have worked.
Thank you for your time.

Re: Need help updating firmware
Awesome, so I did do it right! I guess the message during the boot process just never goes away?

Re: Need help updating firmware
(not controller firmware)
Get the firmware and add it to your USB stick - then boot again from the USB key drive to update:

version B016D for

Hope this helps!

Re: Need help updating firmware
Sorry man, I guess I did not realize that the individual drives HAD upgradeable firmware. It still did not work though. :( The report included "WriteBuffer failed with return code 1035"

Re: Need help updating firmware
Can anyone tell me what this error means? I can only find a couple of mentions of it in these forums and none of the cases had any resolution. Is this drive doomed?
