Need to upgrade PDU's and keep server running
I plan to change PDU's providing power to a DL server. Currently have it running on 120v 20 amp dual power supplies. The new PDU's will be 208v, 30 amp. I realize the Power supplies (PS) are auto sensing. Is it OK for server to be running one PS on 120v and the other 208v for a few minutes while swapping one side at a time, and upgrading both the 208v, L6-30? I want to keep server running during the upgrade.

Its not a good idea to different voltage running on server.
What the exact server it is, please mention the server model number.

Re: Need to upgrade PDU's and keep server running
LOL - Read the first message again. It WILL be on the same PDU type eventually. But as I do the switch, one PS will be on old 20 amp/120v while the other PS is on the new 30 amp/208v. I am not changing power supplies (PS). I am upgrading PDU's.

Re: Need to upgrade PDU's and keep server running
The question is existing running voltage any issue with server?
L6-30 - single phase and only has 3 prongs. 2 hot, 1 ground.
How many phase currently you using?
