Network Configuration on ML370 under SCO OPENSERVER 5
I have downloaded the EFS 5.62a software and produced 5 disks as instructed.
I have installed the software through CUSTOM but when i try to run 'hpnicinstall bcme' it reports ineligible file : /tmp/broadcom.d/VOL 000 000 000.
Thats because file is not there! The first time i ran it the file was there but corrupted!
Any help would be appreciated
Thanks

Re: Network Configuration on ML370 under SCO OPENSERVER 5
Hello Richard,
It is possible that the floppy is bad. Just start from scratch and recreate the disk. Here is the link in case you need it and follow the directions:

Regards,

Sunil
Thanks for reply.
I have tried the links you supplied but still no luck. Even on 3 or 4 set of disks.
The two other INTEL drivers load OK but its just the BROADCOM driver that doesn't seem to setup a valid media image in /tmp/broadcom.d directory.
The NIC is an NC7781 embedded controller.
The cut down driver in the first link actually corrupted the kernel as it lost the root controller so eventiually I re-installed SCO completely.
Ther were discrepancies in the checksums provided by HP Support and my download but I am trult stumped now.
Thanks for your help.
