Network Teaming and Configuration
I have a Compaq NC3120 Fast Ethernet NIC and a Compaq NC3123 Fast Ethernet NIC and have set up a Team using Adaptive Load Balancing. Everything seems to work OK but I am then unable to contact printers attached to HP Jet Direct Print Servers. Pinging these devices no longer works from this server. If I dissolve the Team I can then ping with no problems.
The Driver for the NIC's is N100NT.sys Version 4.29.01.0011
and the driver for the Compaq Load Balancing Team is CPQNTAC.SYS Version 1.00.01.0018
Any ideas?

Re: Network Teaming and Configuration
Yes... Go get a firmware update from HP..
Reason why is..
The NC31XX adapter can fail to complete a print job when connecting to a
HP Jet Direct Interface that is utilizing firmware 7.0.X The print job will submit correctly, but it may be canceled or "disappear" without warning during the printing process. Packet traces show that the HP Jet Direct will respond with TCP Acknowledgements to the secondary adapter in the ALB pair. The secondary adapter is setup to send data, but only the primary will receive. For this reason, the TCP session between the two devices is canceled.
make sense?
