Network Teaming loses connection after restart

Hi,

We got a strange network problem with a DL360g5 server. I configured HP Network Teaming and it works like a charm until the server has been rebooted a few times. The virtual team adapter is showing тАЬacquire ip addressтАЭ even though TCP/IP has been manual configured. When I disable/enable the adapter it comes alive again until the next reboot.

The network adapter driver version is 3.0.5.0 and the server has been installed by SmartStart 7.8 and firmwareupgraded.

Best regards

Re: Network Teaming loses connection after restart

I was not using the lastes but upgrading didn't help.

when the adapter shows "acquiring IP" I can either disable/enable or dissolve the team.

Re: Network Teaming loses connection after restart

hi again

try these steps

- unistall NCU(Network Configuration Utililty) for the NIC cards this network connections(Network properties, network control panel where you find the protocols, ip, ipx...)
- Device Manager remove NIC Cards
- Reboot the server
- again apply the latest driver
- install the NCU again
- run the firmware again
- configure Nic teaming again.

Re: Network Teaming loses connection after restart

Hi,

I suggest you to disable TCP/IP Offload Engine from NCU and configure the team again. There are a few TOE issues connected to teaming and NICs...

Re: Network Teaming loses connection after restart

The TCP/IP OFFLOAD ENGINE unchecked but that still didn't help in our situation. Please recommend any other possible solutions.
I've also used the netsh int ip set chimney DISABLED command and that didn't work either.

Re: Network Teaming loses connection after restart

Small question did you apply SP2 of windows 2003 server?

If yes there is a probleme with version psp from 7.60 to 7.91 PSP for NIC TEAMING and NIC drivers
