Network Teaming with Nortel Switch

Hi, I've just bought some new servers and I find that I can use the 2 network cards together in a teaming solution. My switch is a layer2 configured switch from Nortel (Passport 8000 series).
I tried to team the 2 network cards, and it seem it is working. In the configuration of the team I used the SLB (Switched assisted) solution, but I think it's not working as SLB.
How can I check?
I didn't find any docs on how to enable the team with this switch nor in Compaq nor in Nortel. I don't know if it is possible, I only know that Nortel says that the switch is trunking capable, and Compaq says that the cards are teaming capable.
Can you give me an help on how to configure them ?
