Network adapter & other problems on proliant 1600....
All of a sudden, my proliant server 1600 is dying out on me.....
On boot up, before logging in, i get the error message" the instruction at '0x77f8b8d' referenced memory at '0x0014e000'. The memory could not be 'written'.
And then, the network adapter all of a sudden went down on me. Winnt 4.0 is running on the server, smartstart 5.3 was used.
Ran system diagnostics, but strangely, no error was reported.
Hope this has been explicit enough.
thanks in anticipation.

Re: Network adapter & other problems on proliant 1600....
What makes you think this is hardware related? Doctor Watson errors (that's what this is right?) are usually software related.
The truth is out there, but I forgot the URL..
