Network problems on DL160 G5 with Dual Processors
I have a customer who experiences network timing and performance issues on a DL160 G5 with dual quad-core Intel processors. When pinging the server as a target no performance issues are found. When pinging from the server to an external source or even using a loppback connector the response time starts slowing from < 1ms to > 800000 ms and starts to drop packets. Reducing config to a single CPU fixes the problem. Each CPU has been tested and found with no problems. Using either installed CPU in a single CPU config clears the issue. System board has been replaced twice. Firmware, drivers and OS patches are up to date. OS re-installed. APCI-e network card in a PCI-e slot shows same problems.
Any comments, Ideas.

Re: Network problems on DL160 G5 with Dual Processors
What OS is there? To be honest I'd vote for OS problems.
Did you tried to switch/change network device to which server is connected?
