New DDS-4 on Proliant 1600
Hello
I would be able to install and DDS4 C5685C to a Compaq Proliant 1600 server serial number D853cfs10047 to replace the existing DDS-2

Sixto,
I believe your DDS4 should work happily with your PL1600, although you may need to upgrade your BIOS and/or other firmware and drivers, depending on whether you have kept your box up-to-date.

Hi,
The HP C5685C unit should work fine.
You could also try the original Compaq version of the 20/40Gb internal DAT drive, 157769-B21. This is a Compaq version of the Sony SDT-10000 drive in Opal colour to match the PL1600 chassis.
HP, Compaq or Sony models will be OK in the Proliant 1600.
