New Dl120 G7, use new SPP or Smart Update Firmware DVD 10.10?

The subject basically states it. 

I got a Smart Update Firmware DVD 9.30 with my new DL120 servers.  I see that there is a 10.10 version, which I am downloading.  Then I came across the HP Service Pack for Proliant Download, SPP Version 1012.08.0

I have not yet installed the OS, Windows 2008 R2 Standard.

Which of these HP updates options should I choose for the HP DL120 G7 servers?

The 10.x firmware DVD is a subset of the SPP, SPP has firmware + support packs.

So I would use the latest - SPP 2012.08.

Thanks for the info.  I was leaning towards using the SPP.

I'm realtively new at this.  I've already powered up each server, booting with the HP SmartStart CD.  I've setup iLO 3 and also setup RAID on the P410s.

Now, do I next reboot to the SPP or do I continue with the SmartStart CD, install the OS, and then go to the SPP?

I would boot the SPP and update the firmware first. Then boot smartstart and install OS, then use SPP online to update the support packs.
