I am planning a new network with 3 DL380 G3 Servers with 5 SCSI 36 GB drives in each. I am using Windows 2003 Standard for the network OS. I was going to mirror the first two drives and Raid 5 the remaining 3 drives for storage. Currently all drives are RAID 5 should I stick with the current config or change to the mirroring?

Solution
It depends on your requirement. If you want to give extra redundancy to the boot disk (where you plan to install Win2K3) then you can mirror 2 disks and leave the remaining 3 in RAID5.
