New system

Hello. I just bought this server a Proliant 2500R. This system does not have a operating system on it. i would like to install Linux-Mandrake 8.1. When i try to install Linux i get the following errors. 172-eisa Configuration Nonvolatile memory invalid
162 -system Options not set.
172-1 Configuration invalid. How can i configure this. Do i need the smartstart software. Thanks Bill Nash.

To get past these errors you will have to run the "system configuration utility". Follow this link and make the 4 diskettes. First one is bootable. No need to nstall this. Just run it and then save and exit.
