No 2nd Processor with windows 2003

I had an old Proliant 3000 server which people wanted to throw away because the 2nd Processor was failing.
Thanks to the article of Don Croswell I managed to fix the problem.
I also found 6 x 4.3 GIG disks and I installed Windows server 2003 to it.
When booting I het the messages about 2 processors initialising but when I start task Manager under W2003 I only see 1 processor.
Somebody any clue?

Refer to MS Article 319091

Windows Server 2003 May Not Use Multiple Processors with Some Pentium Pro or Pentium II Processors

Re: No 2nd Processor with windows 2003

Hi,

With Control Panel,Hardware,Device Manager I see an MPS Multiprocessor PC.

When I use WINSMD I see a x86 Family 6 Model 3 Stepping 4 GenuineIntel 3000 Mhz, so that would indicate that according to Victor's article ref. this MultiProcessor is not supported.

With taskmanager I am not able two choose the type of graph. With a Xeon Multi threaded processor I can choose the type of graph.
So at one point the system sees a MPS MultiProcessor and on the otherhand it is not supported.
I guess I have to install Win2000 server to be able to use both processors on this Proliant 3000.

Thanks all.
