No Chance to install Win2k Server
Lo...
I tried to install Win2k Server n 2 ml370s but without any succeed. they have the same hardware (1,4ghz 1GB Ram, 5xSCSI 18,2GB Raid5).
When I try to install with smart start in doesn't work and also directly from the win2k server cd.
It is always hanging when he tries to identify the hardware.
Whats the problem?
By the way. I?ve installed many other Server from HP without any problems.

Re: No Chance to install Win2k Server
I, 1st I would try bringing down the memory lower than 1 gig and then try running the erase utility and then the smart start assisted path. You could also think about upgrading the system board. Is it all Compaq hardware?

Re: No Chance to install Win2k Server
How far do you get in SmartStart? What version Smartstart? What error do you get?
Depending what array controller your using, sometimes it will not set itself as the boot controller. I'm not sure if this is the problem your running into. So when Smartstart tries to copy files or run ACU, it squaks about there not being any hard drives.
