No Physical Disks Found!
On my DL380 I am trying to install Windows 2000, everything starts up ok but the 5i Array controller takes some time to initialize, when it is done it tells me:
Slot 0 HP Smart Start 5i Controller failure [Commend failure(cmd=11h, err=020h)]
I have re loaded the Array driver tried all utillities I can find but still no disks are found.
Any one can help??

Re: No Physical Disks Found!
Is this a G2 or G3?
But it sounds like a bad 5i to me. If it's a G3 you can try reseating the memory card. If it's a G2 you can try reseating the whole controller. Reseating them might help. But if not, you'll have to call HP or your service provider to get a warranty replacement.

Re: No Physical Disks Found!
The controller did work up until I tested the mirrored disks, now I am trying to get the system back up. Do I reset everything using the Erase Utility?
Erase All Drives
Erase NVRAM
Erase CMOS.
Thanks for your help

Re: No Physical Disks Found!
It's worth a shot running a system erase, but my gut feeling still thinks it's a bad 5i.
If it's the G2, the daughter board just gets replaced. If it's a G3, the whole motherboard needs to be swapped out.
