No Video Signal Proliant ML350

Can anybody help?

Just unpacked a Proliant ML350. Attached a Tape Drive and 1 additional HD.
Tried to start from Start Smart Disc but found I have no video output.
No Internal LEDs indicate there is a problem with any part of the server and all LEDs on Front panel are Green.

Confused!! Have I missed something?

Re: No Video Signal Proliant ML350

hi

Ml350 Generation 5?

Remove the tape, try just 1 Proc, 2 memory modules, remove any PCI card. this is call minimum configuration.

if you have 2 Procs and more that 2 memories, swap memories and Procs.
try different scenarios if Hardware lets you do it.

Clear NVRAM
"1. Power down the server.
2. Unplug Power cable.
3. Remove the server cover.
4. Locate the System Maintenance Switch, position S6, and move the switch to the "On" position.
5. Plug Power cable.
6. Power the server back on for a minute.
7. Power-cycle the server off.
8. Move the System Maintenance Switch back to the "Off" position.
9. Replace the server cover and power on the system. The server will boot normally. "

Re: No Video Signal Proliant ML350

Thanks Karlo,

Yes it is a G5.

Have already tried everything you're suggesting, still nothing. Have been trying to connect to it via iLO, but to no avail.

Seriously considering sending it back :(
