No autoreboot after powercut

We have +- 140 HP proliant servers with 2 EVA's (5000 and 3000).

Last weekend there was an overall powercut and everything went down. When the power was restored everything started to boot up again.

My question: Is it possible to force servers not to boot (after a powercut) so we can boot them by ourselves in the correct order?

We experienced a lot of problems, especially with the SAN connected servers because the boot order was not strictly followed.

Re: No autoreboot after powercut

Hi,

yes, on most servers it should be possible. You can either set it in the BIOS or via the Integrated Lights Out (ILO). In BIOS (RBSU) go to Server Availability and set the Automatic Power-On option to disabled. In the ILO you can set it under Virtual Devices -> Virtual Power
