Re: No bootable drive configured
Now I've got a problem. I can't start Firmware Maintenance CD to update the array controller firmware. It displays the message loading Firmware Maintenance and it shows a series of dots, but it remains, it freezes.

Re: No bootable drive configured
Carlos,
It is strange, I didn't see any problems with Firmware Maintenance CD 7.40 on G4 servers.
>>>I tried to boot from the Windows CD, but it doesn't work. Seems it's not a bootable disk.
Also, I didn't see windows 2003 not-bootable CD disk
Maybe you CD drive had some problems?
I think you can try to use HP Drive Key Boot Utility
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/23839.html
with Offline SmartArray 6i firmware update
http://h18000.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/download/23684.html
for SmartArray firmware update,
but I don't think your initial problem related to outdated SmartArray firmware.

Re: No bootable drive configured
I tried to boot from Firmware Maintenance CD to update array. It starts loading it, but it reaches to a point where it remains with no activity. I left it for about two hours, but it didn't show any progress. About the CDROM, I agree with you, perhaps it has some problem, but it strange the system doesn't let me boot from the array. The HP Drive Key boot, I'm going to give it a try. I'll let you know. Thanks.

Re: No bootable drive configured
One of the ways to get any bootable CD to boot would be to clear the NVRAM - RBSU and then reset the boot controller order.
