No drivers for Proliant ML110G5 160GB Sata

I'm loosing my mind here! I purchased a new Proliant product number 574016-001 with dual Sata 160GB drives. I have them mirrored at Raid 1.

Neither the HP Setup CD nor Windows 2008 will recognize any driver that came with it or that was downloaded from this site.

Someone - anyone - I need some serious help on what's up with this. I type the product number and serial number in this site and it says it can't find that number.

Please please please help!

Re: No drivers for Proliant ML110G5 160GB Sata

Thanks for the link - I've been there and downloaded all the 2008 drivers for foundation server and NONE of them have worked.

Did I miss something or does the need to use a 2003 driver make anyone else angry?

I spent hours trying to get a driver to work. Double-checking everything in the RAID utility, checking the BIOS, blah blah blah - only to find no supported Windows 2008 64-bit driver that works with this card!

Not good for the reputation.

Re: No drivers for Proliant ML110G5 160GB Sata

I have the OEM MS 2008 64-bit Foundation Server installed. I have the Adaptec embedded Smart SATA controller and 2 160GB drives configured RAID 1.

I had to use the Windows 2003 64 bit aarahci.sys file in order for Windows to recognize it. The HP Setup CD that came with the machine, didn't recognize the controller either. (The ACU)

And now, the drive seems to be very sluggish within Windows on the server. That's just browsing and moving the mouse around and starting little applications like Notepad.

I can't roll this OS out until I fix these things.
