Not detecting SAS disk connected by passthrough

Hi everyone,

I have a ProLiant DL380 Gen9 with smart array p440ar, and I tried to use passthrough.
I think if smart array p440ar is connected directly to VM client, VM client will detect SAS disk connected with smart array p440ar physically.

I checked SAS disk is detected well by host server, when passthrough is not used.
But VM client detect only smart array p440ar, can not detect SAS disk when passthrough is used.

The OS of VM client is Linux Ubuntu PC version, and server OS is vSphere ESXi 6.5.
SAS disk is configured by HBA mode of smart array p440ar.
I think this problem is related to driver, but I don't know how to solve.
Does anyone know the way to solve this problem?

Re: Not detecting SAS disk connected by passthrough

I find the reason that VM client "Ubuntu linux" can not detect sas disk.
Unbuntu linux hpsa driver does not support p440ar.
hpsa driver is just operated, because device that has same device name is connected.
