Not detecting new scsi hard drives
I have just recently had a drive fail in one of my company's 1850r's. It was a Micropolis 3391SS (Compaq P/N 242760-001), and part of a two-disk raid. These drives were running in the removable media bays on SCA to LVD adaptors, and doing just fine. I attempted to replace them with Seagate Medalist ST39140WC LVD SCSI drives, but the bios refuses to detect them. The bios reports "Spinning scsi drives" and the drives do spin up on queue, but to no avail. Bios reports them as id 0/1 failed (does not list drive info). I have also tried them in the hotswap bays with the same results.
I appreciate any insight anyone can give me
