Novell Remote Manager and Management Agents WBEM
Novell OES (NW 6.5 sp4a)
PSP 7.40A
Are there any "instructions" to "integrate" Novell Remote Manager and hp WBEM.
In general, I'm trying to better integrate all the various web based tools for our Linux, Netware and windows boxes. I'd like to standardize on apache and firefox.
Any hints, directions, suggestions, URLs to help me along - much appreciated.
What I see now on OES boxes (DL380);
I see both
sys:\system\compaq\
sys:\system\cpqmgmt\
My OES admin web-server is
sys:\adminsrv\
As you know, (webagent) Management Agents use :2301

Re: Novell Remote Manager and Management Agents WBEM
I noticed that our NW6.5 servers have an "openwbem.ncf" line in the autoexec.ncf file, along with "embox.nlm", "cpqhlth" and "cpqci".
I haven't known what they were for, although often use NRM for remotely operating/interrogating the servers.
Do they provide specific additional functionality to what NRM normally shows?

Cameron -
Thanks for this tip. I will research the documentation - RTFM as they say.
note: to see what the hp/Compaq agents provide,
use your browser
URL: (DNS or IP#):2301
to see which hp/compaq agents are running, from the command prompt
#m cpq*
which will show all NLMs that start with cpq.
I have not figured out how to setup security, so I only see the anonymous login.
Thanks again for the tip,
Brandon Fouts.

Re: Novell Remote Manager and Management Agents WBEM
Hmm.. TCP Port 2301 does not respond for me.
(secure ports 2200 and 8009 do work)
The cpq modules loaded (from console) are as follows:
cpqshd - HP NWPA SCSI disk driver
cpqraid - HP Unified RAID driver
cpqci - iLO Management Interface driver
cpqasm - HP Proliant Server Health Driver Tier 2
cpqhlth - HP Proliant Server Health Driver Tier 1
