Re: ODBR & Adaptec 29160 Scsi Card Urgent Please
Here this.
I just spoke to CA, i needed to confirm a few things.
First,
Q:Can you please confirm Brightstor 11.5 is fully compaitible with OBDR?
A: Yes, 100 %
Q: Can you please let me know if the HP Storageworks 460 is comapible?
A: NO
Q:What drive are compatible then:
A: No Ultrium's, mainly DDS3/4 units.
Do you know of anyfree software thats compitable with ODBR/Ultriums & HP.

Re: ODBR & Adaptec 29160 Scsi Card Urgent Please
Here's the CA matrix, you will see none Select HP then you will see none of the Ultrium drives will work.
https://supportconnectw.ca.com/public/storage/infodocs/basb115win/basb115win_cdl.asp#base_tape
In a nut shell, CA are selling a producting stating its OBDR compatible, however to a HP Reseller like me it not as they dont support any of the Ultium unit.
Mike, When we bought our in house HP 460 we got a cd called Tapeware XE V7.0 SP4B, do you know if this would work with windows 2003.
Thanks
