Old disks and RAID-Array with G4 ML350&DL380. plz help! (+)

our company wants to buy this server:

370596-421 Rack ProLiant DL380 G4 R04 Xeon DP 3200-1.0MB/800 (HPL-Backplane, 6i RAID, 1GB)

shall we be able to use these hdds with it:
hot plug hdds:
15000 RPM:

18G WIDE ULTRA3 SCSI LVD/SE

10000 RPM:

will they function ok? i need raid5 or raid(1+0) with 'em.

I already wrote in your other thread:
only U320 disks are supported in the internal drive cage - otherwise you risk damaging the hardware, because the drive carriers are slightly different! The specifications have a list of which models are supported.

so, DL380 is compatible only with Ultra320 Hot Plug devices.

And what about ML350 G4(non pluggable)+ RAID ARRAY 431(or 3200)+non pluggable disks?

/I heard that 431 raid isn't compatible with the new proliant caused by their PCI-X slot/

64 bit /133MHz data path card should be used with G4 server, U320 Hard Drives
Neither 4th or 5th generation controller can be used, only 6th

Cause where this SCSI ULTRA320 and SCSI LVD/3 compatibility is?

As fare as server requirement for U320 it should gave you POST error for incorrect drive, however it's good question for non-hot Plug Drive if they connected to 6th controller. Never tried. I would say it will gave you post Error, as U320 protocol will be detected by BIOS Level and there is really not much difference between drive alone and drive with carrier.

if its true for SCSI3 HOT PLUG hdds with DL380G4 so, why it's a problem for NON hotPlug hdd and ML350+RA641?
