Older PCI Card - ML350 G6
I'm curious - will a 'standard' 3.3 volt PCI 2.0 card work properly in a ML350 G6?
I'm assuming it must be PCI 2.0 - from what I've gathered about the standard in general.
Problem is - we are using an older G3 right now, that needs replaced for an imagesetter. I don't believe cards are made for the older imagesetter that are any newer than standard PCI (and I'm checking to see if it's even 2.0)
Thanks in Advance.

Re: Older PCI Card - ML350 G6
Hi Robert,
As per PCI technology, any PCI universal card in supported in any PCI slot...
so shouldn't be any problem...
are you facing any problem? what is the exact specification of you card.. 32 bit or 64 bit?
thanks,
Aftab

Re: Older PCI Card - ML350 G6
I highly suspect it's 32-bit, but I'm waiting on more information.

Re: Older PCI Card - ML350 G6
even 32 bit card can be installed in 64 bit slot and it should work...
only problem that I remember about PCI is that you can't not mix different volt cards... e.g. 5 volt card will not work in 3.3 volt slot.. it has to be universal then only it will work...
rest everything else works absolutely fine..
thanks,
Aftab
