One of my ML370 G3s does not always cold boot properly
If I do a shutdown on it and the keyboard and mouse are plugged in, it doesn't boot. The lights go on but it doesn't go anywhere. If I then unplug the kb and mouse, it will boot. The opposite also happens (if there is no kb and mouse plugged in and it doesn't boot, then plugging them in and turning it on will allow it to boot). I have it on a KVM. I have 1 other ML370 G3 configured exactly the same (same BIOS, same patches) and it doesn't have the problem. I can't predict when it will happen either.

Hi Dave,
Clear the NVRAM of the server and check is it behaving the same way.

Re: One of my ML370 G3s does not always cold boot properly
Hi Dave you may want to try updating the FW and BIOS of the server, I know some people doesn't like to do this, but based on my expertise troubleshooting ProLiant servers I can tell you that this is a viable solution for that issue, you can do it all at once with this CD
http://h18023.www1.hp.com/support/files/server/us/revision/9014.html another thing; we can try to flashing the KVM, I would need to know the model of the KVM so that I can send you the link.
Also let's change the KB and mouse for a while and let's see what happens.
