Do you have a support contract for these?  Does it tell you when no longer supported?

Re: Out of Support - HP Server

Hi :)

Took some time to get these info for you:

DL360 G4 - March 31st 2006

Dl380 G3 - Jan 31st 2005

DL380 G4 - Feb 18th 2007

DL380 G5 - November 30th 2009

DL580 G3 - May 31st 2007

DL580 G4 - June 30th 2008

DL580 G5 - Dec 31st 2010

Note: If you have an existing contract with HP, HP will honour the contract. But if you wish to extend the contract, you will need to work with HP Sales and information team as above said Servers are already reached EOL

Kick Kudos if I was able to help :)

Hey Sirajul - this question comes up quite often - is this information available somewhere public?

Are you sure?  I got mine in Nov 2007 and its 3-year warranty expired in 2010 - and I did have an option to get a 5-year warranty for it (which would make it still supportable today).  I also got an offer to extend that warranty at the time of expiration.  Also, when you look at DL380 G5 support page, current OS release are still supported, and there are driver and firmware updates for the server.  So to me, it looks like it's still supported.

Thanks in advance

Re: Out of Support - HP Server

Hi,

Even though the Server retired, HP still try to provide contract extension to customers (basically checks whether we can provide enough spare parts to customers for another 1-2 years), if HP have enough parts available, HP will try to extend the warranty on those servers.
