Overheating ML350

I've a ML350 with four 72.8 hot swap HDDs with a raid 5 controller.
am running win2K advanced server on it.
the problem I have is that the machine get's heated up even if one little process is running on it.
for eg. if I put in on to a loop, the machine would reach critical tempreture within a matter of less than 120 seconds.
what do I do ?
help

Re: Overheating ML350

Waruna,

please check which is the cause for the overtemp! Check the IML. Any Post Errors?

Also check the Heatsink from the CPUs!
Which Generation are u using?

Please check also the following Article if u're using a Generation 1 Server

Furthermore, check if the Health Agents are up2date and if the firmware is the latest.

Re: Overheating ML350

--> control panel --> hp management agents

latest PSP Version is 7.60

IML = Integrated Management Logs
u'll find it when u go via 'Start' --> 'Programms' -> 'HP System Tools' --> IML

please check for Error Msg.

Cheers
Mike
