P Class enclosure removal
6 x Enclosure
2 x Mini bus bars
2 x 3U Power supplies
Running on 3 phase
We need to remove half of this kit as we need the space.
Does anyone know if we can remove this safely and keeping the kit in a supported configuration?

Re: P Class enclosure removal
I think you can do this.
Mini bus bars support up to 3 enclosures.
You can use this tool to check if 1 3U power enclosure will provide enough power to the 3 server enclosures :
http://h30099.www3.hp.com/configurator/calc/BL p-Class.xls
You can check
http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bc/docs/support/SupportManual/c00301687/c00301687.pdf
for more info
If you have enhanced backplane HP recommends using 2 power enclosures for redundancy...

Re: P Class enclosure removal
the link above is destroyed, but now when I think, if the 2 power enclosures provide enough power to the 6 enclosures, then 1 will take the half of the load.
