P1600 fails before post test
At power on the Compaq Proliant screen comes on, it finds memory of 384 meg, counts up to 16384 and then word "Initialize" is garbled on black & white screen
Sorry, I do not know enough to isolate what is causing the checking of memeory to continue

Try to bring to minimum possibly Configuration with Original COMPAQ memory

Thank you for your time, I replaced the 450 mhz cpu and unit is back and running, hope it stays up
