P212 Raid controller not recognizing SATA drives in hot plug LFF on ML110G7

I have a new ML110G7 server with hot plug LFF cage, bought without disks and then loaded with 2 SATA drives in appropriate tray/caddy. I then installed a P212 Z RAID storage controller card (PCI). During Post, this card is reporting that no storage devices are attached. How do I get the P212 controller to recognize the SATA drives in hot plug cage/slots ?

From the P212 documentation it is not clear to me if this is actually supported or not.

or if some cable is required (maybe between the hot plug cage and the P212 storage controller).

If this was a non-hot plug server, I could have attached the 2 sata drives directly to the controller.

If any one has any information on this, kindly let me know.

Thank you

You need to cable the P212. Can you move the drive cage cable from the system board to the P212?

That worked. Thank you.
