P2500 supported array from embedded contoller?

P2500 supported array from embedded contoller?

Proliant 2500 has a embedded SCSI contoller.
But I don't see an option to create Array.
Do I have to add additional contoller to do so?
Existing card from Mylex - outdated and requered config.files to be recognised by "Smart Start" CD v5.5.
Any suggestions?

You cannot create a RAID array with the embedded SCSI controller; you need a RAID controller, embedded or not; i.e., the Compaq SMART 2/P. Check your hardware configuration via the SCU and determine whether you have an array controller installed. You may need to change the boot order to boot from the RAID controller first to create your array.
