P400 SAS controller and Dual Port disc

Hi all,
can somebody tell me whether the P400 SAS controller supports dual port discs. (not only one port but both)?

hi

you can use dual port SAS HDDs for that controller but but you won't advantage of the dual porting since p400 only will use 1 port

dual port SAS HDD is for real storage system were controllers support dual port SAS HDD but meaning using both ports

thanks for that!
My point is: I got a DL380G5 with that controller and two dual port disks (RAID1). I am wondering if I can exchange one of the dual port disks by a single port. (both 146GB 10K). I have searched all docs but couldn't find an answer.

OK got it

yes you can replace a single by dual or a dual by a single and no problems at all
