P410I RAID 5 performance

I do not have a lot of experience with RAIDs and am not getting the performance I expected. When I copy a large file on the same logical drive I get about 30 MB/second. Using resource monitor, I rarely see any disk IO high than 70MB/sec. What kind of performance should I expect with the specs below? Also when copying one large file the CPU usage of the P410i controller is 100% according to the System Management Homepage. Is that normal? What's a normal Command Latency?

ProLient DL380 G6
Smart Array P410i 256MB no write cache
6 ATA MM0500EANCR (3.0 GB 7200 SATA) setup as RAID 5
