P410i / DL380G6 Raid config.

Hello!

We want to install 8 physical drives with raid 1+0. So we get 4 logical drives.

But when we try to install the third logical drive we get the following message:
(Two logical drives are no problem).

*********************
You cannot create another logical drive, you have reached the maximum number of logical drives supported by ORCA. You must use the array configuration utility to create more logical drives.
*********************

We have try the BIOS utility and also the ACU from the SmartStart CD. The System is blank and we will install ESX 4.0.

Thanks for help!
Gunta

Hello,

you want to create four logical drives with each two disks and RAID 1+0, right?

Do you get the same message by using ACU? Can you post a screenshot of it?

Patrick

Yes, that`s wright, four logical drives.
With ACU there comes no message. After 2 logical drives I have no possibility to create the third one. The button for creating a new RAID is not shown.
