P420i - Parity initialization failed
Hey there,
we got a DL380 Gen8, P420i Controller, 19 SSDs - 3 Arrays, 3 logical Volumes, 2 OK, 1 with Error "Parity initialization failed" ... already searched for this Failure - but haven't found anything helpful on that! :-/
Is there any way to check "why" the initialization failed? And how do I force the Controller to redo the init?
Thx, bye from Austria

Re: P420i - Parity initialization failed
Hello,
Best option is to pull cache memory and run without it. I know sometimes init failure is just dodgy cache memory.
Kind Regards

Re: P420i - Parity initialization failed
Hello,
Did you try without the cache? I am experiencing the same issue in a ML350 G5 with an E200i.

Re: P420i - Parity initialization failed
Hi Edi,
we did not test it without cache as the Server in Question was replaced by a new one a few weeks after we found out the Problem - and we didn't wanted to play around with a (working) productive Server.
