P800 12 disk raid 10. 148 MB/sec peak

P800 12 disk raid 10. 148 MB/sec peak

We testing our new server. It's a DL580G5 with 32GB ram and 4xX7460 processors running 64 bit Windows 2008.

Our largest disk array is a Raid 10 of 12x72GB drives attached to a P800 controller.

We have used a few benchmark tools on the array and the peak throughput we see on sequential reads is 144MB/sec. This is the same as we see on a 4 spindle raid 10 array attached to another P800 on the same system.

Does this sound about right?

I have tried all settings. It effects the burst results but not sustained.

The results may be reasonable. I hoped someone could give me a comparision.
