P800 Array; Optimal partition alignment value
ML570-G4 with P800 controller. Windows 2003 R2 x64 Enterprise OS, SQL 2005 Enterprise. Server configured with qty2 RAID 10 and a RAID 6 array(s).
I am trying to determine if the 1024Kb alignment value is optimal or the Microsoft recommended 64Kb. Most research shows the vendor of the RAID controller would be in a better position to recommend the partition alignment.
Has anyone had experience with this?

Re: P800 Array; Optimal partition alignment value
Very good question. I would like to know this too but for Linux.
Anyone have any ideas?
TIA
