P822 Connection to D2700 Enclosure
Hello,
Im sorry by my Lack of knowledge.
We have a P822 controller connected to a D2700 Storage.
One mini sas cable from P822 port1 to IO Module A.
Should we add another cable from P822 port2 to IO module B for redundancy or performance?

Re: P822 Connection to D2700 Enclosure
Hello,
your Software need MultiPath Support for using 2 Lanes and it only works with SAS Disks, not with SATA Disks.
best regards René

Re: P822 Connection to D2700 Enclosure
Thx for prompt answer.
All drives at the D2700 are sas drives.
OS installed at the server is esxi and plan is set raid 60 storage to vms.
Since drives are all sas, should i use 2 cables like planned?
Thanks.

Re: P822 Connection to D2700 Enclosure
Hi,
if esxi support Multipath and do you use all Disks as /dev/multipath/diskxx it will work.
best regards René
