PCI Power Fault - DL580 G2
Hello,
I have several DL580 G2 servers. When I try to install an M-Audio 1010LT card, I receive the power fault red light and a message at boot as well as two beeps per card installed. Does anybody know if there is a way to disable the power fault - hot plug, so that I can use these cards. I have a supermicro server, where things work fine, as well as any standard PCI or PCI-X slot.
Thanks,
Gregory

Re: PCI Power Fault - DL580 G2
Hello,
I have tried the cards in all slots. In slots 1 and 2, I don't receive a power fault; though, the card is not seen either.
Is there some setting in the bios that could be changed? These cards work fine in all other non DL580 G2 machines.
Thanks,
Gregory

Re: PCI Power Fault - DL580 G2
hi
when you say "all other non DL580 G2 machines" you mean other HP servers?
try clear NVRAM with the card put and with the card in
also update System ROM
