PCI-X Riser for ProLiant DL120 G6
We have order ProLiant DL120 G6 Part No. 490932-371. And we want to upgrade one slot to PCI-X.
HP distributor in Thailand told me to order this part : 454517-001 SPS-BD DL320G5p PCI-X RI.
We have got the part but it cannot putin to the DL120 G6 since the socket is smaller than the card plate.
Please tell me the correct part, we need the riser to install smartarray 642 which is PCI-x to use with my external storage MSA1000

Re: PCI-X Riser for ProLiant DL120 G6
Hi Gunpai,
As per quickspecs, following PCI-X Riser cage is supported on DL120 G6 server
516230-B21 (HP 1U PCI-X Riser Option Kit)
HP ProLiant DL120 Generation 6 (G6) quickspecs
http://h18004.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13504_div/13504_div.html#Core Options
Also as per quickspecs, smart array 642 controller is not supported on this server. only supported SCSI controller that I see is
SCSI HBA
HP SC11Xe Ultra320 Single Channel/ PCIe x4 SCSI Host Bus Adapter 412911-B21
Hope this helps.
thanks,
aftab
