PCI bus error, slot 0.

Server (DL580 Gen 1)crashed with following error;

The Compaq System Management Driver has detected that the system encountered a Non-Maskable Interrupt (NMI) prior to this boot. The NMI source was: PCI bus error, slot 0.

The server came backup after a powercycle but has ASR'd twice since.

Any ideas?

First thing I would do is make sure all the PCI boards are seated correctly. If this continues, you may have to replace the PCI board. With the NMI Error not referencing the "device name" and/or "function" that errored, I am inclined to think the bus has a problem.
Enjoy!

Re: PCI bus error, slot 0.

We have the same problems with a ML370 with 1 GB stack and 2 512 MB stacks, 3200 controller. what we have changed to figure out this problem : moved 3200 controller, moved disks, rebuild array's removed stacks and replaced stacks, rebuild system disk, with absolute NO change the system crashes and keep crashing !
It has 2 processors 733 Mhz
