Hi, I'm new here so be gentle.
I've just obtained a "PL1600R 6/500 512 128 A/P". It is fitted with a floppy and CDROM but no SCSI drives. I can not get into the BIOS setup. (I'm pressing F10 during boot).
Do I have to have drives fitted to enter the BIOS? I just want to know if the thing is going to work BEFORE I spend any money on it.
Thanks heaps.
Richard.

Solution
Richard,
Proliant 1600 have "System configuration utility" located on SCSI drive (as system partition)
You can use SmartStart 5.50 CD
http://tinyurl.com/gps26
or Compaq System Configuration Utility diskettes

Just boot from CD or from fisrt diskette...
